About Me: I am Holly, a MaternityWise International trained labor & postpartum doula, with additional training in lactation. I am a Mom to 3 rambunctious, sweet boys, and wife to my supportive and wonderful husband, Aaron.

In 2014, with a fresh new 3 month old baby, Aaron and I picked up life as we knew it and moved clear across the country. As postpartum anxiety crippled me, I learned a lot about who I was as a woman and a mother. It wasn't until my second child was born that I realized how healthy and healing a birth experience could really be! When I had my third son, having a doula solidified my mindset and I learned just how invaluable this position was. It was then that I decided I wanted to be a support system to other women bringing their children into the world, and I pursued doula training. As an allergy Mama myself, I carry some extra knowledge of these circumstances - in addition to a lengthy personal breastfeeding journey that pushed me to learn more about the magic of milk making. I'm prepared to work with YOUR family in any capacity, with the utmost care and attention.

I look forward to getting to know your family - and I know that as a team, we can achieve the birth experience that you've always dreamed of. It is an honor and privilege to be by your side as your family grows.

About Me: Specialties: High-risk, VBAC, VBAMC, Diabetes during pregnancy (Type 1, Type 2, Gestational).

I first fell in love with birth when I started doing research during my first pregnancy. I knew that I wanted to have an un-medicated labor, and having Type 1 Diabetes would make it harder to achieve, being classified as high-risk and all. During my research I realized that many women don’t know their options during childbirth and many don’t even realize they HAVE options. After having my eyes opened into this magical world of birth I could not close them again, nor did I want to. I want to help every woman feel empowered, supported, knowledgeable, and excited for the birth of their baby.

I am a highly trained and skilled doula in the height of my life's passion. I am in my element when, after weeks of preparation and education, I see a woman and her partner share a secret, knowing look of shimmering emotion that shows all their hard work paid off, in one of life's most precious moments. This moment is further enhanced for me when the woman’s partner has been encouraged and taught how to help and has been a key element in the pregnancy and labor process, without which, things may have turned out much differently. I feel very strongly about being an advisor to birthing women so they can have the birth they intend, without unnecessary interventions due to lack of knowledge or support.

My goal as a doula is simply to improve birth – by helping to reduce physical and emotional trauma, by empowering women through knowledge and practice, and to advocate for safer birth experiences led by a woman’s own body.

I have had one un-medicated hospital birth, one C-section, and one un-medicated VBAC (Vaginal Birth after Cesarean) in the hospital. I believe that regardless of circumstance, all births can be made beautiful with the right support and empowerment. I have experience helping women with un-medicated, medicated, cesarean, and VBAC births. I also have personal and professional experience with high-risk pregnancies, diabetes during pregnancy, and VBACs. I can skillfully educate on things that others may not have reason to know.

I am the Chapter Leader of ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network) of Weber/Davis County. In addition to doula services, I also provide The Bradley Method® classes, placenta encapsulation, moxibustion to help turn breech babies, and Bengkung belly binding. I look forward to helping you have a peaceful birth day. #HaveAPeacefulBirthDay

About Me: I have had the privilege of attending births for 14 years, all while giving birth to four of my own children. I have been teaching Hypnobabies for 9 years. I am also a Mother to Mother counselor through Breastfeeding USA and love to support you in your breastfeeding goals as well.

My own four very different birth experiences have really left a lifelong imprint on me as a woman, as a mother, and as a childbirth educator and doula. I have given birth once at home and three times at the hospital, including twice by unplanned cesarean. With each of my births, I had loving and strong doulas by my side. It was through my own difficult and beautiful birth journeys, that I learned that every birth has the potential to be empowering and that hiring a doula is one of the best ways to ensure exactly that. I am happy to support you in reaching your birthing goals, whatever they may be.

The comfort and support I received during the birth of my first baby planted a yearning in my heart to help others through the raw, miraculous moments that come when bringing a child into this world. My goal as a doula is to leave the mother feeling heard, respected, joyful, and empowered. I was blessed to receive my Advanced Doula Training from a few of Utah’s most esteemed doulas through Birth Learning. I served in the Volunteer Doula Program at the University of Utah and have been a part of some unique birthing cases. I have a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science and am a certified Prenatal Yoga Instructor. About Me: ~ I love being a doula! My journey of serving expectant and laboring women, as well as assisting their partners or support persons, has been both humbling and inspiring. It is an honor to walk the path alongside them as their lives are forever changed in a truly meaningful way. Each birth is transformative and unique.

~ I have assisted women in childbirth for over 25 years and naturally fell "head over heels" into doula work in 2009, transitioning from social services work into both birth and postpartum doula services, child birth education, and training doulas. Not only do I have the ideal job, but I thoroughly enjoy each and every client that I am privileged to serve. I am grateful to have apprenticed with Claire Stanley, (a 40 year seasoned birth worker) for 2 years and have shadowed remarkable doula colleagues. I credit my mother's love of labor and delivery, (She served as a RN director for 40 years & most of my life,) for my passion. In order to serve families more efficiently, In 2014, I linked my productive practice (formerly, In Due Time Doula Services) with my fabulous business partner Angie Rosier. Together our Birth Learning practice has been extremely accomplished.

~My philosophies include a blend of personal, compassionate and professional attention to clientele. My commitment and devotion would be unfathomable without the support of my business partners, my 5 cool children or my extremely kind and generously supportive husband.

~ Each birth is important and remarkable.! I have worked with a great number of VBAC, twin, special needs, high risk, veteran and high anxiety mamas. Additionally, I teach childbirth education and provide postpartum services, specializing in overnight care with a majority of our babes being multiples. It will be my great pleasure to join you in your journey and serve you, which you certainly deserve!

About Me: Hi there!
A little bit about me and how I came to be a birth doula. I have always loved caring and attending to others’ needs. I was fascinated with the TV show E.R. and always thought I wanted to be part of the medical staff attending to patients with life critical issues. I spent my senior year in high school job shadowing doctors and set out to continue my education towards nursing.

I met my husband the summer before college and we married the following year. We had our first baby 4 years later, schooling was put on hold while I raised my newborn baby and had two more children within a few short years. During those years, a close friend of mine had asked me to support her and her partner during the birth of their first child.

After that experience of tending to her needs, comforting her during contractions, and being a support to not only her but her partner as well, the drive to pursue my medical career intensified. I began pursuing college courses again as well as received my Certification as a Nurse Aide (CNA) and immediately began working for a local hospital as a CNA on their surgical trauma floor. Within a few months, I found an interest in understanding the vital life sustaining organ — the heart. I pursued an opportunity to become an Electrocardiogram Tech which allowed me to work with various patients, from newborns to severe heart trauma patients. It was during this job that I found my passion to help advocate for patient support.

I had a colleague of mine ask if I had ever considered becoming a birth doula or pursuing midwifery. I immediately began researching the birth doula world and applied for a DONA birth doula training in Portland, OR. I had no idea that going to this course would deeply impact my life. Everything I had loved about being a CNA was now expanded into the sacred space of birth. My passion is to advocate, educate, and empower birthing people to be surrounded by support in the most vulnerable and sacred moment of their lives. “Your purpose in life is to find your purpose and give your whole heart and soul to it.” -Buddha

I have found my purpose in life and I vow to give my whole heart and soul to help create and advocate for the birthing experience you desire.

About Me: My name is Meagan Heaton. I am a Salt Lake City doula including its surrounding areas (Utah/Davis County, Park City, and Tooele)
My whole life I’ve had a deep passion for babies and dreamed of being a labor and delivery nurse for years. I have always felt the desire to help women and infants. After I got pregnant with my first child I became even more aware of just how in love I was with not only babies, but with Pregnancy, Labor, Child Birth and everything that comes after.
My first two children were born via Cesarean Section. Going into the second pregnancy I had an ending goal of a VBAC. My nurse was also a doula and her and I chatted all about doula’s and their roles in a birth setting. She was so wonderful, I was grateful that she was present for most of my birth. After the birth of my second daughter I learned more about the importance of a doula in all types of birth plans. It was soon after that I realized that I really wanted to become a birth doula. I have learned so much along my journey and I can’t wait to keep learning. I recently had my third child and was able to achieve my Vaginal Birth after two Cesareans and it was INCREDIBlE! (feel free to read more about that on my website)

As your doula I will bring all my passion, love, education and commitment to you, you’re partner and you’re baby. I am so excited for this journey that I have chosen and hope to help many couples through one of the most amazing events of their lives.

Since then, I have worked on many pregnant and postpartum women who have benefited from massage and doula services
I am a mother of two boys and two girls, and took Lauralyn Curtis's Hypnobirthing class and had wonderful births utilizing those techniques. I believe in empowering women with the knowledge of all the many options available to the pregnant mother. I believe that touch is vital to healing, and is incredibly powerful in aiding relaxation and alleviating pain and discomfort.

On a physiological level, our bodies change so drastically so quickly as we go through the process of bringing a baby into this world, that it is no wonder we are met with a variety of aches and pains, and that our bodies can feel foreign to us. Our ligaments, joints, muscles and skin are all being pulled and stretched and strained, and we experience an imbalance between them all. It is important to help the body transition, and relax, and strengthen what is weak and tired so that we can relieve the pain caused from the imbalance. Touch is very powerful. The right touch can be the ultimate healer, more powerful than any drug. It can be the difference between life and death.Truthfully, we cannot live without touch. No drug can substitute it. I see dramatic, real life changes in my client's quality of life every day, and they are healthier inside and out. It only makes sense to use massage during the most physically challenging and changing thing we will ever go through.

About Me: My own motherhood journey took place in Stuttgart Germany. My first birth was a challenge for me, one which I was unprepared to meet and it was not easy. I walked away feeling disappointed in my body but happy to be a mother. Those difficulties motivated me to make some changes. The next time I was pregnant, I took a birth preparation course and gained some tools for labor. I rocked that birth and it was truly transformative. I walked away feeling powerful and strong. This experience inspired me to become a birth worker and help women put their feet on the path to a powerful, positive birth.
My goal as a doula is to educate, empower, and support mothers during their birth and postpartum journey.
Birth is a tremendous and transformative labor of love, ripe with both challenges and rewards. I believe in the immense power of a positive birth experience that empowers women and men to begin parenthood with joy and confidence. My goal is to help parents create positive memories of birth, regardless of the challenges that arise. I approach being a doula with a dedication to working openly with the unique perspective, abilities, challenges, and needs of laboring mothers and their support team. With an attentive and wholehearted presence, I aid women and their support team with physical and emotional comfort measures, pain coping methods, relaxation techniques, understanding of birth physiology, communication with medical staff, and supported involvement of a partner or birth companion.
I am also passionate about helping mothers to feel fulfilled and supported during their postpartum period. It is a time of great change, and many people are not equipped or prepared to handle the new burdens placed upon them. My goal is help mothers learn to become a team with their baby, to understand them and to blossom into her role as the mother of that child.

About Me: Birth is a beautiful passage of meaning and importance, with unique significance to each individual involved. Parents can go through a hurdle of emotions and nuances within the experience of childbirth. With the birth of my own children, I discovered that there is a unique story about to unfold within each birth, and that the birth experience can be such a deeply reflective experience, Wich has the power to be extremely empowering. Every birth is different, every person is different, every baby is different.

What I bring to a birth is simply sincere compassion and humility to learn from you, and then assist you with competence and confidence. I feel passionate about advocating your desired birth experience, and I love to witness each unique story unfold.

About Me: Hi, thanks for taking a minute to read about me!

I am a mother, wife, yogi, bookworm, and wanna-be world traveler. I am also a birth doula, Hypnobabies instructor, placenta encapsulation specialist and trainer, bengkung belly binder- offering differing styles/patterns for binds, and a fertility educator.

As a doula and childbirth educator, I love to help moms have the best birth possible whatever that means to them. Providing moms with knowledge equates to power for them and their birth experience. Helping women learn and understand tools needed to help create a peaceful birthing experience, is something I consider vital for a birthing woman and am proud to offer that.

I have supported moms in many birth situations such as vaginal breech birth, home births, planned epidurals, special needs c-section, and unmedicated births. I am very familiar with Hypnobabies, Bradley, and HypnoBirthing methods of childbirth as well as many other mindful birthing practices. I have built and maintained good working relationships with many of the care providers along the Northern Wasatch Front and am committed to creating and maintaining a positive birth experience for a mother and her birth team.

My role as a postpartum service provider is multi-faceted and I try to help my clients however is needed. The most popular ways I do this is with placenta encapsulating and belly binding. I've seen amazing benefits from both services that helps new mothers ease into their new roles confidently. I also help with breastfeeding as needed and can refer to experts in this field if it is beyond my knowledge.

As a fertility educator, I strive to help women understand their menstrual cycle and fertility patterns. Being aware of our fertility pattern is the first line of defense in spotting any type of menstrual or infertility issues, all of which have something to do, on some level, with our hormones. I help women recognize that what we put in to our bodies has a direct effect on the many uncomfortable symptoms that women experience on a regular basis. I want women to have a happy period!

This kind of sensitivity is commonly referred to as emotional intelligence. As far back as I can remember, I have been keenly aware of how the people around me are feeling. I was the teenager who went out of my way to include the teen who was feeling excluded. I was the friend who recognized that her friend was struggling, without her friend having to say a word.

I believe in creating understanding, inclusion, and acceptance by learning about others and their belief systems. Learning and speaking Spanish and Portuguese, as well as studying Chinese, German, and American Sign Language, have all contributed to the deep value I feel for striving to respect and understand all people and their unique perspectives. Four months into my time in Brazil, I was mistaken for a native. Apparently, my sensitivity to the mannerisms and speech patterns of the natives carried into my own mannerisms and speech.

My sensitivity has not only helped me to build cross-cultural understanding and to develop an inclusive personality, but has also helped me in my university studies of family systems, family theories, and couple dynamics. My awareness of couple and family interactions serves me well in helping families through sensitive situations such as childbirth. Through my childbirth educator certification program, as well as my own experiences, I have learned about the heightened emotional and physical sensitivity women experience during labor and birth. I have found that my extreme sensitivity towards others enables me to effectively and lovingly support women through these heightened, new, and intense experiences.

The feeling I had after giving birth to my children was empowering. I came from the experience with belief in myself. I believed that I was strong and capable, and that with the support of those who love me, I can do anything I am required to do.

I am eager to continue supporting mothers and their families through the life changing and empowering experience of birth. I believe that with loving support, birth can indeed be an empowering and life altering experience that can leave a woman knowing how strong and capable she truly is. I want every mother to come away from her birth experience feeling that she is strong and capable. Women can do incredible things, and the support they receive makes a difference.

About Me: Hi, I'm Sara Pixton! I grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado and have now settled down long-term on the other side of the Rocky Mountains in Provo, UT.

During my first pregnancy--with twins--I had a lot of questions, but wasn't always sure who to ask. My pregnancy and birth of my twins had several complications, and I'm so grateful that, in the end, all three of us were healthy and well. But looking back, I realize that I would have benefited from more emotional and physical support during my pregnancy, labor, and birth. I became a doula so that I can be that support for others!

I birthed my son through an unmedicated VBAC, and that experience was indescribably transformative and empowering. I came to know my life-giving power and fell in love with birth! I'm also an Applied Linguistics master's student at UMass Boston (online). I believe that there is a synergistic energy when my two passions—birth and language—come together, and I'm excited to share it with you! You can check out my work on the power of our words during birth at www.birthwords.com.

Outside of doula-ing, I love spending time with my three awesome kids and my amazing husband! I love learning and have plans to be a lifelong student. Singing and yoga also bring me focus, balance, and joy. And when the mountains call, I just have to go hiking—preferably to the summit!

About Me: Over the course of my lifetime I have developed a niche for serving Women, in particular, Mothers. All things pregnancy and birth related occupy my time, energy, and passions. At the age of 14 I witnessed my first birth. I remember the rush of emotions and the long hours of labor like it was yesterday. From that moment on, I knew that I must be involved with the birthing community. Nothing beats the moment a Mother brings her baby earth side and I consider it a great honor to be apart of such a sacred experience.

As a Licensed Massage Therapist with specialized training in prenatal massage, I bring a unique set of skills and tools to the table. I Work full time at a prenatal massage clinic, with access to all of the proper bolstering and cushions to allow safe and therapeutic body work during all trimesters of pregnancy. As a Doula, I strive to offer each Mom the support and care specific to her wants and needs. Birth is arguably the biggest moment of your life. No matter where you decide to deliver or what your birth plan may be, you deserve to feel safe, empowered, and excited about your birth. Primary Service: Postpartum Doula

About Me: I am an experienced postpartum doula, specializing in infant night care for singletons or multiples. My passion focuses on offering a smooth transition into life with a newborn by providing opportunities for mom/dad to sleep through the night while I care for baby. I have been a mom since 2003, and understand the joys and frustrations of taking care of an infant with limited sleep. I am a previously certified Advanced EMT, and currently certified as a BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider. In addition to my own two children, I have recently delivered twins and a singleton as a surrogate. These specific qualifications and life experiences have made my services as a postpartum doula even more integral and meaningful.

As part of my services I will nurture the baby throughout the evening, tending to his/her every need including, but not limited to feeding and burping, changing diapers, bathing, administering medications/supplements, and performing specialty medical tasks upon your instruction.

I will care for mom and support dad, helping you transition into taking care of a newborn by offering breastfeeding/pumping support, hydration/snacks, respectful emotional support, and light housework (washing/sterilizing bottles, changing/folding laundry). I am also available during the day to run any errands you request.

The postpartum period is so unique to each family, and I cherish getting to know each of my families and supporting them during such an intimate time. There are many ways to be a parent, and with this in mind I share my experiences and research, but follow your lead and respect your choices. I look forward to meeting you and your little one!

About Me: Hello, I'm Rachel and I'm a Dona Trained Doula, and the path that I took to get here today was many years in the making.
Many years ago a family member had a doula for her birth, and right there, my interest was sparked and over the years I would think, maybe this year I will do this, but, as we all know life always has something to get in the way. It wasn't until I had my own medicated hospital birth of my child, did I fully want to go ahead and begin my own doula journey.
I completed my doula and childbirth education through Salt Lake Community College, and from there I completed a postpartum and advanced doula training through Midwives College of Utah.

Birth is not a one size fits all situation. My goal as your doula is to make your birth a memorable experience. Whether you have a medicated or unmedicated hospital, birth center, or home birth, I'm by your side. I will provide you with all the information you need, empowering you to have blessed day as you bring your baby into this world.

I have 3 amazing children who are my teachers. With each of my children they taught me different unique things going through the birthing process with them. I cherish these lessons and I am always pursuing new ways to grow in everything that I do.

Pregnancy, birth, and babies...I love it all. I view birth as an opportunity for healing and growth. This is also an opportunity to listen/communicate with your body. I love assisting mothers and fathers in having rewarding and positive birth experiences. This is a parent experience not just a mother experience. I enjoy helping the partner be involved in this process.

I bring a lot of unique qualities to a birthing experience. I teach dance, yoga, and meditation classes which help with movement, visualization, and finding a balanced/centered place within. I offer a free massage/energy work session as part of my doula package. Touch can be a very useful tool at a birth experience as well. I specialize in energy work which is also very helpful because it deals with more of the emotional and mental components. I use techniques such as rebozo and spinning babies. I also do belly binding. I am happy to work with families on payment options as well.

I delight in creative adventures of all kinds and varieties. In my down time I like to hike, read, watch movies and play with my children in various ways.

About Me: Hello! My Name is Sabrina Johnson and I am excited to meet you!

I was born and raised in Utah County and have lived in several places throughout the valley in my 24 years of life. I grew up learning about the birth world and being a Doula thanks to my mom who is a Midwife. I was born at home and was able to be there for my two younger sisters births, though due to me being a child (6 and 8) I was not a very good Doula back then. Since then I have been around a couple more births, taken an actual course from Melissa Chappell,(July 2019) and was able to have my little baby girl at home last year with help from my Husband, midwives and a doula. Because of my experience with a doula at my baby's birth I eventually realized my passion about helping others with their birth.

As well as being a doula I am also an energy worker certified in a few different practices such as Foot Zoning, Reiki and Simply Essence, and have found my place with a company called Essence Healing where I learned how to connect both of these worlds together. In my practice as an energy worker I became passionate about helping women specifically in the goal of releasing generational baggage that might hinder them in areas such as birth.
When it comes to being a doula and an energy worker I really want to be able to help you as you go through the process of delving deeper as to who you are as an individual, and a mother. Using Foot Zone as your doula would be used after you are done healing I would be working on helping reestablish blood flow, increasing proper nerve connection and helping you feel more balanced. In Reiki and Simply Essence I would be supporting you in releasing any emotional, mental and energetic blocks that might be causing an increase in fuzziness, confusion, disconnection and feelings of being stuck.

My goal as your doula would be first and foremost to help you feel loved and know that you are loved. Second, as your advocate would be to help you be able to grow in your knowledge and assuredness of what your options are and being able to use your voice.

About Me: I became a doula in 2003 and have helped hundreds of couples prepare for their positive birth experience in over 22 area hospitals and many birth centers and homes. Watching people become empowered by knowledge is one of my favorite aspects of doula work. Professional labor support starts long before labor begins and continues into the postpartum period. I always learn precious lessons about life from the clients I serve and feel blessed by my association with them. While I enjoy every type of labor and birth, I especially enjoy the challenge of high-risk scenarios and the extra support components that accompany the situation. Involving partners to their comfort level is a favorite aspect of doula work I enjoy. I feel that I have the very best job in the world-- to love, support, and empower women.

About Me: I have been passionate about helping moms and families my whole life. My own mother suffered severely with mental illness and I always knew she would have been "mother of the year" if she didn't have the issues that she did. Because of this, I wanted to use my experiences of not "having a mom" to better the lives of those around me.

Over the years this evolved for me. In 2007, through my experience in an unplanned pregnancy that ultimately led me to placing my sweet baby girl for adoption, I was lead to becoming a birth doula. This experience was positive in so many way. This was my 2nd birth, and through some medical complications, ended up being a completely unmedicated birth that I was not prepared for. Oh, how grateful I was for an amazing doula as my support at that birth. I was in full active labor when it was discovered that my blood was far too thin for me to safely have an epidural. That was so scary to be told I was going to need to push a baby out unmedicated with no previous planning. As I went through the phases of labor and started doubting that I could "do this" my doula looked me in the eyes and told me that I could. This will always be a defining moment of my life. The power those words coming from her were for me and how amazing it was to actually feel my baby coming out of me, and connecting with the birth like I had never imagined. That was so powerful to me, I actually left that experience feeling I could do "anything" and went on to run a full marathon 5 months to the day after she was born.

I've used this experience to help educate moms and dads to know their options, to know they need to be informed consumers when they are going to have a baby and to really know while unmedicated births are not right for everyone, they can be achieved and are amazing when they are supported in the right way. My whole heart believes that an ideal birth looks different for everyone and we make choices for our bodies and our babies with the absolute best intentions.

I am a trained hypnodoula through Hypnobabies and an APPA certified Placenta Arts Specialist. I am also the owner of Bloom Women's Center: Pregnancy and Postpartum self care in Roy where I have created a community and resources for moms and families to be their best postpartum. We have many resources for moms with the heart of the center being a professional kitchen for placenta encapsulation and other placenta arts.

I would love to talk with you about your pregnancy and birth preferences and support you and your partner in any way that I can.

About Me: My name is Veronica. I live in West Jordan, Utah with my wonderful husband of almost 15 years, and 5 beautiful children.I am very glad to be living in a beautiful place that has so much support and love for choosing how you want to birth.

I decided to become a Doula after a wonderful experience helping a friend labor with her miracle baby. I’ve always been fascinated by birth and everything surrounding it. Babies are the most amazing things to bring into this world and watching them grow and watching a mother find her inner strength and fire is the most amazing thing ever. I want to help women that have had a traumatic experience with birth and help them overcome their fear and have a better birth experience to treasure.

I have personally experienced 2 vaginal deliveries, 3 emergency C-sections, 1 latent Miscarriage that resulted in me choosing to give birth to her at home at 22 weeks. I have also labored at home with some of my babies. I have had good breastfeeding experiences and hard ones as well. I am glad that I was able to have the experiences I had. I want to teach and guide women that they are in complete control of their bodies and find their inner voice and take control of how they see their births.

About Me: Hi, I'm Amanda! I'm originally from NYC, then Florida, and I have been in Utah since 2016. I have 4 children of my own and I couldn't birth without the help of a doula! I have been a doula since 2011 and I am also a lactation peer counselor. I took a small break to focus on midwifery school. I feel so called to this work that I knew I couldn't stay away for too long. I believe that birth matters. I believe how we birth matters, and most of all, I believe that nobody but you gets to decide what that looks like. My dream birth will look different from yours, and yours will look different from hers, and that is okay. I am here to help you make choices that you are comfortable with, come up with your best birth plan together, and help you stick to it (or not, you call the shots). The absolute only thing I care about is that you feel supported in the decisions that you have made. It is my job to help you explore all of your options, help you take charge of your day, and leave you feeling empowered. I will be there to remind you of the goals you have set, ease your fears, comfort you, and walk beside you every step of your journey. Your birth, your day, your way. That is my philosophy. This will be a moment in time that you will never forget for the rest of your life, and it is my honor to play a small part in it. About Me: The things I value most in life are the real, raw, gritty, soul connecting moments I get to share with my husband, 6 kids, family and closest friends. The ones that make you think, feel deeply, grow, reevaluate, and question. I think this is partly why I love birth so much. Everything fake melts away and it is such a powerfully intimate and connecting time between couples. I love being a part of it and helping facilitate the beauty of this experience.

When we think about birthing our babies we dream, hope, plan and prepare. For most of us our emotions span a spectrum from excited on one end to terrified on the other. There are no guarantees. We access our faith and trust and move forward, one contraction at a time as we go to places inside ourselves we never knew but now see as sacred. Hallowed. Let me help you realize your dream birth through the support only a doula can offer and be there to hold your pain with you on the off chance things don't go as planned.

About Me: Thank you~ Thank you for allowing me to have a moment of your time to tell you why I would consider it an honor to attend your birth and be on your team. I am DONA trained and passionate about all things that lift and empower women before, during and after childbirth.

When I hear the news of someone becoming pregnant I immediately feel awe struck. Whether I know the person or not I feel joy for them, and can’t wait to hear about all of the milestones, and details of the pregnancy. If they reach out to me I feel honored with their trust in me. With each birth I have attended I see it as a “first” because each woman delivering her babe has her own story, her own trials, and her own kind of strength that makes her unique. Each partner supporting mom has their own strengths and abilities and I respect their space and will never step in the way of them accomplishing the role of birth partner.

I am the mother of five amazing humans who (with their partners) have gifted me with nine beautiful grandchildren! My husband is also kind enough to share his 3 humans and two beautiful grandsons! I refuse to use the word “step” to describe family. We share our lives and we share our loves, and I am forever thankful for each addition into our tribe!
Every pregnant woman and her partner have the opportunity to choose what type of birth they want. Of course there are times when it is medically necessary for there to be changes to the birth plan, but with education and knowledge the parents are able to be confident in deciding what is best for their baby.

My own five births were unmedicated vaginal births, and I utilized “The Bradley Method”. To be honest I was petrified by the thought of having an epidural and when I became pregnant my main goal was to avoid it at all costs! I do however see the value in medicated births, and appreciate each birth is unique to every woman. I have been present for both medicated and unmedicated births and will soon be a doula for a cesarean birth! There is ultimately one goal, and that is to birth the beautiful human who is waiting to meet you!

The “why” of my decision to be a doula was brought to me courtesy of The Universe! I was working at West Jordan Court House as a Deputy when a woman went into active labor. I took one look into her eyes and knew we were in it together! The call was made to emergency services and medics were dispatched. I found a place that offered a bit of privacy and aquired a few towels. I offered this woman support and helped her breathe through the contractions. Her body KNEW what to do! She delivered and I caught. The paramedics arrived before the placenta was delivered and I rode to the hospital with her knowing my path was forever changed.
My heart and soul are dedicated to my clients. I give you my promise I will be present and hold space for mother and partner and will give and offer all that I have to help create a “Joyful Delivery”.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule an interview to see if I am a good fit for your tribe! I'm in the Salt Lake area and can attend in other adjoining areas.

About Me: Hi there, it's good to meet you! I am a DONA trained birth doula and have also been working to help people through injuries and chronic pain as a deep tissue massage therapist for over 12 years now. I gained a passion for birth while making birth plans and creating roles for my own birth team during the birthing chapter of my life with my four cherubs. I was able to birth in various settings.
I am all about doing things your way. I believe a woman should strive to have the birth experience she desires. I believe in a well thought out birth plan and in a unified birth team. Though things don't always go just as planned, having one is very empowering. I also have really appreciated the births I have been in where the partner is a strong presence during the birth. The power of a unified couple is not to be diminished. If you choose me to assist your birth, I will be there to help educate, empower, advocate and help you and your partner have an unforgettable bonding experience with each other and your baby. Whether you have a desire to birth at home, at a birth center, in a hospital--with an epidural or hoping to go med free, I will support you in your goals, we will do it "your way".

About Me: My first name, Kjell, is hard to read but easy to pronounce: "Shell."

I’m married and have four busy kids, and I truly enjoy spending time with my them. I love to see my kids as they grow, laugh, and (hopefully!) eat the dinner I make without any complaints or negotiating! Unquestionably, my family means more to me than anything. In addition to my family, my passion in life revolves around all things to do with health, wellness, fitness, birth, and empowering people.

The only thing about birth that is predictable, is its unpredictability. No birth is alike and no birth can truly be planned out. As a doula, I am here to help you understand all of your options, and I believe that is done through education. Educating yourself and your partner is crucial to being an active participant in your birth, not just a bystander with someone else making the decisions for you. Educating yourself on induction methods, birth positions, and how soon you should arrive at the hospital are just three key topics to understand before you give birth. There’s so much more and I look forward to addressing all of them and more birth topics with you.

I am passionate about helping others to see their bodies for what they can DO, not for what they look like. I really enjoy helping people learn to trust their bodies. After all, our bodies are amazing entities built for movement and life! I believe that a person's body is strong and capable of going through and doing hard things. As a burpee-loving personal trainer/boot camp instructor and compassionate doula, I am here to help facilitate a peaceful yet empowering birth experience, and to bring strength to the birthing atmosphere. I am certified through DONA International.

About Me: I am a trained Birth and Bereavement Doula through StillBirthday, mentored by Michelle with Doulaed, and a current student of midwifery. I am also Mother to three wonderful children who are here with me, and one son lost to stillbirth at 35 weeks.

I am passionate about family-directed, physiologic childbirth, and believe the need for caring, sensitive and knowledgeable support is imperative. I am a strong advocate of spontaneous, unmedicated childbirth, but I am also fierce about your right to make choices according to your own individual needs. I support your right to birth wherever and however you choose and believe that a positive birth experience is possible with these key principles:

Informed Decisions, Confidence, and Support.

Birth is unpredictable. It's primal. There is no way to know how it will unfold, but when you make DELIBERATE choices that serve you best you can feel positive about your birth experience, regardless of the unexpected twists and turns labor might take.

I've been attending births for two years, and have supported medicated, unmedicated, cesarean, and VBAC births. When I'm not at a birth, I'm homeschooling my three rascals and studying to become a Midwife, while dreaming about having a hobby farm somewhere in the Pacific Northwest.

About Me: I am a mother of six children, 3 girls and 3 boys, and a grandma of 5. I currently live in Provo, Utah. I love helping new moms with the process of laboring and delivering their precious babies, and know that we moms benefit greatly by having a support team around us, whether it is our first child or our tenth! I have had opportunities to help moms in the hospital and at home births. I'm willing and able to support you whether you would like a natural birth, or if you plan on using medications, and with the many varied options that are available.

To me, birth is a beautiful, natural process. With my own births, I experienced different levels of help and support, as I delivered my first two babies in two different hospitals and my last four babies at home with the assistance of a midwife and her team. My desire is to help women have empowering labors and births as they bring their babies into this world.

I am a birth certified doula with DONA International.

I have a nice camera and am happy to also take photos for you as you labor and give birth, but my first commitment to you is as a doula - helping you feel safe and supported, and to have the birth experience that you desire.

"Michelle is an excellent doula. She goes the extra mile and is very patient and calm, even when the going gets tough. She facilitates comfort measures quietly and respectfully without interruption to the sanctity of the laboring mother/partner relationship. Michelle is an invaluable addition to a birth team, and I hope I have the privilege of working with her often." - Seasons Warner, CPM, LDEM

About Me: Birth is an incredible journey that changes a person and partner, whether your first or 10th birth. As a doula, I love to be there as a witness and assistant on that incredible adventure. I became involved in the birth world after the birth of my son when I realized there are so many options available to birthing mothers that I wasn't aware of, and developed a passion for wanting to change that. I believe that every woman deserves to have an empowering and positive birth experience, regardless of the outcome or circumstances. As a doula, I'm there to ensure that happens!

I'll be there to provide physical, emotional, and informational support for both the birthing mother and partner through all of pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. I'll be there to support you and your partner as you plan for the birth; help you negotiate the setting you choose whether hospital, birth center, or your home; provide physical and emotional support to both you and your partner during labor and birth; assist with breastfeeding; and support you as you enter into the postpartum period.

I'd love to be there as you enter on this phenomenal journey and help you have the empowering and positive birth you deserve!

When not immersed in the birth world, you can find me exploring the outdoors with my husband and two children (5 y.o. and 2 y.o.) through hiking, climbing, skiing, and biking.

About Me: I started my path towards being a Birth & Postpartum Doula when I attended the University of Utah in 2005. I studied in depth: Bartenieff Fundamentals, Somatics, Feldenkrais Method, Anatomy, Kinesiology, Childhood Development, Teaching Methods along with Various Traditional Dance Styles. These subject matters helped me deeply understand human development, effective ways to educate another child/adult & movement of the body.

In 2009, I graduated from the University of Utah with my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Modern Dance & Education. I started teaching in various settings through the public & private school sectors.

I received my Yoga Teacher Training through Prana Yoga Studio in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2012. Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, Mantra & Meditation work peaked my interest during training. I also fell in love with learning about Ayurvedic medicine and I continue to study at great lengths today. This year I studied through Utah Prenatal Yoga and received my prenatal yoga training. My training helped me develop new, diverse ways to keeping the body and mind connected through a balanced, realistic approach.

In 2012, I started working privately with prenatal yoga clients through the duration of their pregnancy. I wanted to ensure clients learned through the yoga scope a balanced diet, coping skills and physical comforts for during labor, delivery & the postpartum period. Currently, I am teaching prenatal/postpartum yoga classes privately and through hospital supported progams in Salt Lake City. I am also teaching Prenatal Yoga on Thursday's at Centered City Yoga from 7:30-8:45 PM.

Since 2015, I have taught healing, restorative yoga & dance classes to sexual assault survivors through UVU & HelpingSAVE. Because I am a teacher for groups healing from trauma I have taken extra therapeutic healing, anxiety reduction & suicide prevention trainings.

In 2015, I received my Birth and Postpartum Doula Certifications through DONA International. I was trained in California, one of the most progressive birth states in America. I received my CD(DONA) and PCD(DONA) accreditation from DONA International in the summer of 2016. This extra education was important to me so I could confidently educate parents on the ever-changing birth and postpartum stages with the most up to date facts and research.

I am working on my ICEA, Childbirth Education Training, and will teach at St. Marks Hospital for the 6 week Childbirth Education Classes, starting in January 2019.

I have helped many families on the road to parenthood & continue to do so whether it’s the first or fifth. I am continually studying to improving my knowledge of the body, the process of prenatal care, labor support & postpartum infrastructure.

Doula work is so important to me because it provides parents with an un-biased education and skills to having a safe, satisfying birth and postpartum experience. A supportive start into a new childs life can be the answer to developing happier children, more evolved adults, caring parents & an overall healthier lifestyle.
Knowledge is the key ingredient to self-confidence & personal power. With these things we can create a better world to live in & sustain a life that is desired and loved.

In my free time I enjoy spending my time learning, teaching & exploring. I am always on the move keeping myself actively participating in my community. I am a tea lover, always hunting for something unique to make tonics and tinctures with. My partner & I have two cats, an organic garden & a wildlife habitat with birds, squirrels, butterflies and owls.

About Me: Hi, my name is Brielle Bernards and I am The Calming Doula. I am a DONA trained birth and postpartum doula. My goal is to help you have a safe and satisfying birth and/or postpartum experience (however you define that). Whether this is your first pregnancy or sixth, you want to give birth at a hospital or at home, you want an unmedicated birth or GIVE ME ALL THE PAIN MEDICATION, I can help. I bring a calming presence and I’m here to bring you whatever physical, emotional, and informational support you need before, during, and after birth.

I wanted to share the reason why I became a doula (note, this next portion may be triggering to some). When I finished my first day of birth doula training, I knew that this was what I was supposed to do. I wanted the horrible things that happened to me to have a purpose, and I wanted to help others like me not feel so alone.

I didn’t become a doula to hold babies (although sometimes I get to and it’s amazing). I am a doula because I want to help survivors have better birth and postpartum experiences.

I was sexually abused in college and have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) because of it. I talk more about this on a podcast I recorded with @risingphoenixpodcast (Episode 53). Because the PTSD is like a scar that will never fully heal, I will continue to have random flare-ups when I am triggered in my life. One of those triggers for a lot of survivors is childbirth, but it doesn’t have to be.

Childbirth can also be incredibly healing for survivors if they have the right support and have put in the work on their own (therapy). I want to help survivors feel as safe as they possibly can when they are giving birth. I want them to know that I am there to support them and to be a witness. I see them, I hear them, and I will do my best to comfort them. And if the anxiety or panic attacks come, I will be there however they need me. I will hold their hand, hold them as they cry, or whisper words of encouragement to help them ground themselves.

This can apply to any kind of trauma. Sometimes it is hard for us to let go of a traumatic experience because we are afraid that everyone will forget about it, move on, and shame you if/when you have a hard day years down the road because “you have no reason to be upset anymore.” Which just isn’t true. Your emotions are valid. Just because you have moved on and let go does not mean that the memory won’t ever bother you again. It might, and that’s ok, and normal.

You are not crazy, and you are not damaged or broken. Your trauma is only a part of your story, it does not define who you are as a person. I became a doula to help survivors have better birth and postpartum experiences. I see you, I hear you, and I won’t ever forget.

About Me: I first heard the term doula when I was pregnant with my fourth but dismissed the option because it sounded like one more nurse in the room. Later, when I fully understood what a doula was, I really regretted not having one. After my personal birth experiences I decided that not only would I have a doula for baby five but I also wanted to be one, I wanted to help bring education, options, respect, rights, and validation to birthing women. And I didn’t want to stop there, with birth, I wanted to continue it into the postpartum phase and even before pregnancy and after postpartum; pretty much anytime someone needed the emotional, physical, and informational support that a doula could provide while they faced things that were new, hard, different, painful, and challenging. Doula all the things!! (We all need an in-laws doula, a car shopping doula, a potty training doula…amiright!?) I retired from a decade of running a successful preschool and started my doula adventure, training as a doula while hiring the trainer to be there as my doula for my 5th birth which I decided to do at home. The birth was absolutely amazing and it solidified my desires to do this work for others.

I am a certified birth doula through DONA and CAPPA, and bereavement and adoption doula through Stillbirthday, a certified Advanced Trained Doula through the MCU, and trained through CAPPA and MCU as a postpartum doula. I am a childbirth educator and doula mentor, and labor doula trainer for CAPPA. I believe in providing highly professional and personalized services with no agenda. I SUPPORT, I do not STEER you toward decisions or methods. I work with all choices: epidural, unmedicated, induction, hospital, home, planned Cesarean, etc. I have experience with multiples, HG, high risk, PMADs, VBAC and VBAMC, fetal position, and more. I provide a full service package that includes birth photography and pampering for mom. I would love to meet with you today to explore your desires for doula support.

About Me: Hi! I'm Liza. I'm so excited to get to know you, your family, your plans, and how I can best assist you in achieving them.

I hold three different classes: Confident Childbirth, Postpartum & Newborn Care Pro, and Infant Feeding 101. Throughout each, you'll learn skills and techniques that will follow you through childbirth and the postpartum period. Whether you prefer a group class or a more private setting, I have great options to help you grow and learn.

As a birth doula, I will support you throughout your pregnancy and labor. I'm prepared to help you refine your birth plan and navigate everything from knowing when you're in labor to routine protocol at your birthing location. Through labor, I am proficient in both physical and emotional comfort measures. I love supporting families through their choices - medication free, induction, epidural, or cesarean section, my birth philosophy will blend to seamlessly match your own.

This same philosophy carries over to my postpartum care, as well - whether you baby wear or absolutely love your stroller, breastfeed or bottle feed, or any mixture of the above, I'm experienced in helping you set reasonable goals, plans to achieve those goals, and then help with implementation of those plans.

Call me or send an inquiry to discuss how I can help you accomplish your family's goals through pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.

About Me: My name is Jessica and I live in beautiful Pleasant View, Utah. I serve as a birth doula for the Ogden area and surrounding counties. I have a passion for pregnancy and birth, and have always known that I wanted to work alongside pregnant women. When I grow up I'd love to be a midwife!

I've been blessed to have had seven healthy pregnancies, resulting in seven adorable babies. After having epidurals with the first six I vowed to have a drug free labor. Boy, was that more than I bargained for! So incredibly tough, but also so incredibly rewarding and eye-opening.

Looking back I realize how helpful a doula would have been through all of my pregnancies, despite the amazing and sweet support of my husband. I would love to bring to your birth what I was lacking at my own...a soothing voice of experience, help with relaxation techniques, advice on labor positions and so much more. I'm not here to take the place of your partner, but instead to augment his/her support!

I'm here and ready to be your support for whatever type of birth you choose...Medicated, Unmedicated or C-Section and wherever you choose...Hospital, Birthing Center or Home.

Please email, text or call with any questions and to see if we'd make a good team!

About Me: I worked as a social worker for 5 years and grew to love working with families in their home environment. During this time I became pregnant with my first child and decided to have an unmedicated birth. This opened up my eyes to the amazing world of birthing. After meeting with a professional birth educator while pregnant with my second child in Norway I realized the power of a trained support person and my dream to help other women birth was born. A year and a half after my 3rd child was born I decided to become a birth doula. Every woman is born to birth. I want women to know the strength of their own body and the confidence that can come from a fearless birth!

I trained with DONA as a birth doula and am currently working on my certification. My background in social work taught me a wide range of skills and experience while working with children. I use this expertise to provide sibling support during birth, and also offer home visits focused on preparing older children for the arrival of a new baby. I am also trained in baby massage and can include this in postpartum visits.

I would love to help you and your family prepare for a fearless birth! Call me to schedule a free consultation.

About Me: My name is Jess Poulsen and I am a mother of 1 energetic little boy and 2 kind hearted little girls. I am passionate about many things including breastfeeding, gentle and instinctual parenting, and empowering birthing people to take charge of their bodies and their births. In 2014 I started a Doula collective here in Box Elder and have since added two other Doulas! In 2019 I also opened the Full Circle Wellness Center here in BC to hold space for many birth and wellness related events!

?I have been a CAPPA Certified Birth Doula since 2012 and have been an advocate of human rights (especially in the sacred experience of birth) for as long as I can remember. I started my journey into the birth worker world after the birth of my son. I realized during my not-so-patient-centered birth that having more Doulas in the area was MUCH needed. I later went on to have the most healing and empowering birth experience 2 years later that even further instilled this passion and fire for birth within my soul. Every single person deserves to feel the way I felt that day and as I Doula I make that my goal. Whatever your birth preferences are, YOU deserve to feel empowered and in the driver’s seat.

I believe birth can be an enjoyable, transcending, life-changing, and empowering experience. I believe birth is a safe physiological event, not a medical emergency. I chose to become a doula to educate people about their options and aid in making their birth experience a positive one. Trusting a client’s intuition and allowing their choices of where and how to give birth should be encouraged and embraced.

About Me: I'm a postpartum doula, and birth doula, based in Tooele. Serving and working to build a culture of support for new parents.

I have always had an interest in pregnancy and birth, but the passion really started when I was pregnant with my first child. I knew what kind of birth I wanted but had a hard time finding anyone to give me the advice and direction I was looking for to help me achieve it. In fact, when talking to others about my birth desires I was met with doubt and discouragement. So I started studying myself to be as prepared as possible. I read books, articles, and so many birth stories! The more I read the more I fell in love with all of it. Pregnancy, birth, newborns, breastfeeding; it's all fascinating to me. Then after all the preparation for my birth experience I was surprised to find the postpartum period was the hardest part. I hadn't thought of or prepared for it at all! Thus my desire to see and help mothers in this important postpartum time was ignited.

After my own experiences not only could I not stop talking about all things birth, but I knew I wanted to help other women have the support in birth and postpartum that I was unable to find. I signed up to train through Childbirth International, and began my journey as a doula! And I am currently training to be a breastfeeding councelor as well!

I love sharing my passion and helping women on their journeys into motherhood by supporting them in the choices that make sense to them, and helping them know that no matter what those choices are they CAN do it! There is nothing more amazing than the birth of a child, and the birth of a mother.

I am also a wife and a other of two. I enjoy drawing, knitting, gardening, and reading all the books!

I would be honored to be a part of your motherhood journey.

Birth Philosophy:
It is an honor to be invited into the birth space. Whatever that space looks like for you, it is my role to support you to have a voice, to know you have choices, and to feel confident and supported in your decisions. When these elements are considered essential, you are set up to leave the birth space feeling empowered, feeling connected to your baby and your partner, and feeling like you are the champion of your story no matter where or how you birth.

Postpartum Services:
I love assisting families as they integrate a new little member into their lives. It can be one of the most challenging transitions a family can make. It can be especially challenging when parents are sleep deprived to handle the demands of a new baby. I assist parents with information on infant care, teach techniques for helping baby eat or sleep, and love assisting with overnight care so parents can get much needed rest. I have many years of experience working with babies and twins.

About Me: Hi! I'm Camille Freeman--mom of 4, wife of 1, amateur photographer, aspiring barre teacher, and birth fanatic.
My passion for birth and babies began over nine years ago, when I was pregnant with my first-born. I was living in England at the time and had a wildly different first birth experience than many Americans. I then moved back home to Utah, where I discovered I was pregnant with my second child. It was a difficult time in my life, and even though I delivered my daughter in a birthing center with midwives, I wished so strongly that I had a support person there just for me. Soon after that, I began researching doulas and the roles they play for a person giving birth. The first birth I attended was such an incredible experience, and I have gone on to cherish each and every labor room I have been invited into.
If you're looking for a doula, I'd love to talk with you more about what your hopes (and fears!) are for your birth experience, and how we can work together to make the good things a reality. Feel free to call, text, email, or facebook message me and we can set up a time to chat!

About Me: Hello! I am a mother to 5 children and love being a doula! I fell in love with birth after my 2nd baby was born naturally in the hospital. I then fell in love with the idea of doula work after I had a completely special, empowering birth with a very supportive birth team for my 4th baby. Since then, I dove into everything I could get my hands on and read whatever I could to learn how to be a doula! I started learning things on my own a few years ago and am now a DONA trained doula. I'm also currently training as a Birth Assistant.

There is power in feeling supported and loved through such a special time in life so as a doula I will give non judgemental support and show love. My goal as a doula is to give you the information you need to make informed decisions about birth and then you choose however and whatever that looks like for you and I will be by your side helping you and your partner achieve those goals. Doing so will help you feel confident, empowered and safe during your birth.

I hope I have the opportunity to meet you soon!

About Me: Even before the birth of my three children, I was passionate about birth. The whole process is just empowering!

I have always been described as a caretaker. I believe it is one of my greatest gifts. Being a doula gives me the oppor tunity to care for women and provide a beautiful and positive birth experience for them. I believe every woman should feel safe, supported, and nurtured while bringing their baby into this world.

I am a doula who will help you and your partner make the best choices for your birth. I trust your intuition as parents. I am here to comfort, support, and assist, not judge. I am here to help create a unifying environment between you and your partner so that you both feel involved and encouraged throughout the birth.

Most of all, I believe it is important for you to feel confident, prepared, and valued for the choices that you will make. I will strive to make sure that your voices are heard.

About Me: I am a Birth Boot Camp certified Doula and Childbirth Educator. I believe all women have the right to choose how they are going to birth and should be respected in that choice, be it an elective c-section or an unmediated home birth. When a woman is surrounded by people who love and care about her and when her support team is tuned into her needs, birth can be a beautiful and uniting experience. I would love to be part of your support team!

About Me: Hello! I'm Cortney- first and foremost a wife and mama to 4 babies (all unmedicated, some in-hospital, some out-of-hospital). I'm a BYU grad, DONA-certified Birth Doula, Childbirth Educator, and the co-creator of the online childbirth course: My Essential Birth. I’ve attended births for several years in many different settings.

I care deeply about helping YOU confidently achieve your best birth...whatever that looks like to you! I also strive to guide & help your spouse be as hands-on as possible so that you both come away from the experience feeling more deeply bonded together.

My specialties include fetal positioning techniques to help you avoid or overcome "stalls" in labor, counterpressure moves that bring incredible relief & comfort, and the use of meditation and essential oils to bring strength and peace to your birth. I help to advocate your desires & preferences and am an excellent resource of information regarding your options & alternatives during birth.

My doula services include 1 prenatal session at your home, access to the My Essential Birth preparation course, and of course attending your birth from the moment you are in active labor until you are comfortably settled with your new baby in your arms and the first breastfeeding session is underway. I only take 1 client per month so that you can feel confident that I will be the one who shows up to support you during your beautiful birth!

About Me: Hi, Thanks for looking at my bio! I have been married for 6 years, and I'm 27 years old. I have two smart, active boys that came into this world by way of a water birth. I have had beautiful birth experiences, which is what drives me to make sure other women have their own beautiful and secure birthing experiences. I love supporting women in their ideal birth and helping them make informed decisions. I’ve been a doula for over two years now and have had several birthing experiences that include: vaginal delivery, VBAC's, surrogacy, cesarean sections, fast labors, prodromal labor, home birth, hospital birth, birth center birth, and much more! I love supporting women in this incredible and sacred time of life. I have breastfed my own baby, and come from a rather large family that has all breastfed and I look forward to helping women and their babies feel successful in this area of life. I enjoy photographing these sacred memories and offer services for that as well. If you want to check out some of those pictures you can check out my Facebook page Alisa Crawshaw Photography. I have babywearing knowledge and am a huge supporter of Babywearing Utah! Having basic knowledge about babywearing is a smart way to prepare for the postpartum period, and give your belly support during pregnancy! I have taken spinning babies classes that have helped me understand how to best turn baby into their optimal birth position for a better, easier labor. I just finished my certification through DONA International and have enjoyed all the knowledge and experience this has brought me. I offer adjustable birth packages based on what your labor needs are. I'd love to meet up to show you how I can make a difference in your birthing experience! First consult is free!

About Me: I have over 14 years of experience supporting expecting families and new parents! I have a love for teaching and am passionate about providing expecting families with the information they need to make informed decisions along their journey. I've been told my calming demeanor puts new parents at ease. I also know first-hand how challenging the postpartum period can be and how critical emotional and physical support are to healing.

My biggest goal as an educator is to instill confidence in those that take my classes. I have taught Prenatal Classes for over 14 years, both in a hospital and private setting (Utah and Arizona) and am a Certified Lamaze Instructor. Lamaze has one of the most rigorous training programs for Childbirth Educators. My favorite thing is seeing mom and partner's faces light up as they feel more confident about giving birth and becoming new parents when they leave my classes!

I am also a CAPPA-Trained Postpartum Doula. I have supported many families during the postpartum period in a variety of circumstances. I led a very successful New Mom Support Group while our family lived in Arizona and enjoyed educating new moms, watching them rely on each other for support and seeing them develop lasting friendships. I specialize in helping moms that are prone to or are dealing with postpartum mood disorders. I am CPR Certified and have taught safe newborn care classes for over ten years in a hospital setting. I love helping new parents become their own baby-care experts.

In addition to my professional experience, I am a mother to four children. I have given birth four times and bring a lot of wisdom and experience personally to both my birth and postpartum work.
